Rahul Gandhi Interested in Broadening Relations with Cuba
Havana, Oct 19 (acn) Indian Congress Party's newly elected General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi, said he would like to broaden bilateral bonds with Cuba. He spoke at a meeting with the Cuban ambassador to his country in Nueva Delhi.

During a friendly conversation with the Cuban diplomat, the Indian politician said he was pleased with his recent visit to Cuba and thanked the island's authorities for their hospitality.
Rahul Gandhi and the Cuban diplomat talked about the progress in relations between the two countries and commented on possible ways to strengthen the bonds in new areas of mutual interest.
The Indian political leader is the son of Rajiv and Sonia Gandhi, the grandson of Indira Gandhi and great-grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru.
The Cuban ambassador mentioned the special friendship between Cuban President Fidel Castro and Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
