Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard has accused America of fabricating the 9/11 attacks
Actress Marion Cotillard sparked a political row yesterday after accusing America of fabricating the 9/11 attacks.
The 32-year-old French actress, who received an Oscar last month for her performance as singer Edith Piaf in La Vie En Rose, openly questioned the truth behind the terrorist atrocity in an interview broadcast on a French website.
"I think we're lied to about a number of things," Cotillard said, singling out the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center as an example of the US making up horror stories for political ends.
Referring to the two passenger jets being flown into the Twin Towers, Cotillard said:
"We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes. Are they burned? They sic was a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burnt for 24 hours. It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there in New York, in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed."
She added that the towers, planned in the early Sixties, were an outdated "money-sucker" that would have cost more to modernise than to rebuild altogether, which is why they were destroyed.
She said: "It was a money-sucker because they were finished, it seems to me, by 1973, and to re-cable all that, to bring up-to-date all the technology and everything, it was a lot more expensive, that work, than destroying them."
Cotillard's stardom and increased earning power looked assured following her Oscar win.
But after her outburst, in which she also queried the 1969 Moon landings, a successful future in Hollywood appears to be in jeopardy.
She said: "Did a man really walk on the Moon? I saw plenty of documentaries on it, and I really wondered. And in any case I don't believe all they tell me, that's for sure."
Cotillard, who was born and brought up in Paris, made the comments on Paris Première - Paris Dernière, a programme broadcast a year ago.

At the time her remarks were largely ignored, but their appearance yesterday on the French magazine website Marianne2 comes at a time when Cotillard's profile is sky-high.
She is shortly due to fly to Chicago to star alongside Johnny Depp in Public Enemies, a gangster movie expected to be her first big money-spinner.
Cotillard's film career began in Luc Besson's 1998 film Taxi - a huge hit in France but less so around the world.
She is slowly becoming a household name in France, in a list most recently topped by her close friend Audrey Tautou and previously by women such as Catherine Deneuve and Brigitte Bardot.

But Cotillard, who lives with actor and director Guillaume Canet, frequently tells interviewers she has no interest in money or prestige.

Despite her low-key image, Cotillard is an environmental activist who once worked as a spokesman for Greenpeace.
News of her anti-Americanism comes as Franco-American relations appear to be thawing, following Paris's refusal to show support for the invasion of Iraq.
President Nicolas Sarkozy insists he is pro-American, even supporting so-called "Anglo-Saxon" economic reforms.

design in whcih 40% of the load was carried by the outer shell.

That testimony is recorded historical fact.

Dominick Suter, owner of Urban Moving Systems (a mossad front company) of Hoboken, New Jersey fled to ISRAEL to avoid being questioned when his employees were caught filming the wreckage as the towers burned.

9-11 was clearly an INSIDE job designed in part of artificially boost nationalism to permit the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
9-11 also happened as the US was reeling from the dot.com asset bubble implosion, and government deficit (debt) was needed to boost GDP as consumption and business investment collapsed.
The wars were the quickest way of ARTIFICIALLY boosting GDP. This was later followed up by inflating the housing asset bubble which is now imploding.
The problems the US now faces are worth noting. The US is now in the same position it was in back in 2001 with a collapsing asset bubble and an imploding economy and everything the US tried has failed.
1. The artificial boost in nationalism from the inside 9-11 job has evaporated as Americans are now anti-war. Secondly, nobody is signing up for military service because they don't want to end up wounded or killed in Iraq.
2. The Iraq and Afghanistan wars are economically self-defeating for the US as the war has turned into a $3 trillion and counting debacle.
American wealth has evaporated from the housing deflation and the cost of the failed wars.
The empire has collapsed and died in Iraq.
This is even more bad news for the jews. The jews are nothing without the US and Americans now view the jews as blood sucking parasities with no resources that they need.
Once again we see another jew hoax blowing up in the evil faces.
3. The run up in oil prices to over $102 a barrel has strengthened Russia, Iran and all the oil producers flushed with sovereign funds and oil, while worsening the US deficits in which 2/3 of the deficit is now to pay for higher imported oil and the failed wars.
The devastation to the US auto industry is well documented with tens of thousands of layoffs and plant closures.
4. Every US economic policy to reverse the US economic decline has failed. These policies included:
A. Massive liquidity (the produce the boom and bust asset bubbles),
B. Massive tax cuts for the rich (who saved or bought bonds forcing the government deficts even higher as the govt was forced to borrow to finance both tax cuts and the interest payments.),
C. 40-year low interest rates (that produced the housing asset bubble.),
D. Massive government deficit (debt) spending ( the failed wars in Iraq and Afghanistan).
The good news here is that the US will now have to get rid of all of its useless military bases around the globe, and foreign aid to shit holes like israel.
China is the rising new industrial power and there is nothing the US can do about China. The US can't afford a war with a China.
Who would fund a war with China? The Chinese?
The Chinese are funding the war with Iraq.

The 32-year-old French actress became the toast of Tinseltown after winning an Academy Award for her portrayal of tortured chanteuse Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose.
The award plucked Cotillard from relative obscurity and booked her a place on the A-list.
But an interview given to a French magazine more than a year ago has threatened her prospects in the US.
Cotillard was quoted as saying she doubted whether the attack on the World Trade Centre was genuine, saying: "I think we are lied to about a number of things."
She even went on to doubt whether the US really did put a man on the moon in 1969.
But faced with losing out on a career in the notoriously patriotic Hollywood film industry, the actress has claimed her comments were misunderstood and taken out of context.
Her Paris-based lawyer Vincent Tolesano said: "Marion never intended to contest nor question the attacks of September 11, 2001, and regrets the way old remarks have been taken out of context."
The actress will be hoping the revelations do not damage her image ahead of the release of her new movie Public Enemies, in which she stars alongside Johnny Depp.

A small aircraft by todays standards which weighe about 20,000 pounds with a wingspan of only about 70 feet. and a length of about 50 feet. For comparison it was about the size and weight of an empty semi trailer truck.
