On Monday of last week, as Netanyahu met with President Obama in Washington, a large number of Zionists protested in front of the White House, expressing their support for the Zionist Prime Minister and encouraging him not to agree to give up an inch of the Zionist state. Some of these protesters wore yarmulkes and displayed slogans invoking the Torah such as “The Bible says Israel belongs to the Jews.” They gave the world the dangerous impression that religious Jews are militants and want the conflict in the Middle East to continue, in the name of the Torah. Jews Against Zionism felt the need to respond and set the record straight.

A 60-second radio ad was written and aired on 630 WMAL, a politically conservative Washington DC station, beginning on Tuesday, May 19.

We thank our dedicated supporters who generously funded this project. Similar ads will continue to be aired many more times, in accordance with the amount of funding we receive. To donate please call us at 718-841-7053.

The following is the text of the ad.

This message is brought to you by True Torah Jews, an international organization of Jews who are true to the Torah and Judaism.

In connection with the current meeting between President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, over the proposed two-state solution, they wish to clarify the true Torah view on this matter.

Ever since Jews were sent into exile by Heavenly decree, Jews were forbidden to have a state of their own. According to Jewish law, Jews may live in all parts of the world, including the Holy Land, but only without Jewish sovereignty. They were commanded to wait patiently for the day of the redemption, when there will be peace among all men.

Certain Jewish groups may bring quotes from the Torah to support their argument that the Land of Israel must remain completely under Zionist control. This is misguided. How can they quote the Torah in support of an ideology whose very essence is forbidden by the Torah?

This organization strongly supports the United States government, and prays for its success. For details, visit TrueTorahJews.com.

The ad first aired during the Mark Levin show. At the end of the show, Levin gave us added publicity before his nationwide audience of 5.5 million per week when he reacted to the ad by saying, “By the way, one ad in particular that is annoying me that one of the local stations is running, was these ultra-whatever Jews, and I’m Jewish, running these anti-Israel ads. Now, with all due respect, I don’t know which station is running these ads, but why don’t you cut it out? I don’t think it’s so funny. I mean, you get to do what you want, but this show certainly doesn’t embrace that point of view.”
