Thu, 11 Mar 2010 17:11:05 GMT
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned on Thursday that the Iranian nation will never let arrogant powers wreck the security in the Persian Gulf region, stressing that the regional states must take charge of stability in the region with their own hands.
Addressing local residents in southern city of Banbdar Abbas, President Ahmadinejad said that the US-led coalition had masterminded the faked 11 September attack to justify their aggression to Afghanistan 9 years ago.
He said they initially chanted a slogan of fighting against terrorism and drug trafficking but after passage of several years their belligerent policies were not only futile in confronting terrorism but also expand insecurity in whole region.
Referring to the arrest of Jundollah terrorist ringleader, Ahmadinejad said that Iranians have shown the world how to fight against terrorism.
He said Abdolmalek Rigi who was supported by three powerful intelligent services of corrupted powers was arrested at the lowest human and financial costs by Iranian security forces.
“A number of countries that keep on claiming to be in war against terrorism, have broadcast images of this savage terrorist's crimes and claimed that his action was the only way to bring democracy to Iran,” said the president criticizing certain states' support for the notorious ringleader.
Rigi headed a terrorist group responsible for many cases of terrorist attacks and assassinations in southeastern Iran.
