Pakistan's intelligence agency chief has cancelled a visit to the UK over British Premier David Cameron's allegation of Pakistan's relations with terrorists, reports say.

Head of Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha cancelled a planned trip to Britain in protest to "the irresponsible remarks" of Cameron while he was on a visit to India, Pakistani media reported on Friday.

A team of Pakistani counter-terrorism experts from ISI headed by Pasha was scheduled to visit UK this week before the latest decision, the reports indicate.

On Wednesday, the British prime minster accused Pakistan of 'exporting terror' in Afghanistan and around the world.

Cameron made the comment at a question and answer session following a speech in Bangalore where he paid an official visit to Pakistan's long-time rival India.

The British premier also accused Islamabad of having links with terrorist groups, noting that the Pakistani government was guilty of double dealing by both making an alliance with the West and helping terror groups inside Pakistani territory.

Cameron almost stirred a diplomatic row with Pakistan and prompted Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to sharply criticize Britain.
