Mullen: US has plans to attack Iran

Top US military officer Mike Mullen
The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff says the US military has a plan to attack Iran, although he thinks a strike is probably a bad idea.
Admiral Mike Mullen, however, said he was 'extremely concerned about the possible repercussions of such a strike' reported the AFP.
Mullen, America's highest-ranking military officer, underlined that military action against Iran could have "unintended consequences that are difficult to predict in what is an incredibly unstable part of the world."
Nevertheless, speaking on Sunday's 'Meet the Press' program on NBC, Mullen said allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapon was also unacceptable.
"Quite frankly, I am extremely concerned about both of those outcomes." he said.
Mullen held out hope that a combination of international diplomatic efforts and sanctions against Iran would lead Tehran to suspend its nuclear enrichment program.
"I am hopeful (it) works." he said.
At the same time, though, he said, "the military options have been on the table, and remain on the table".
"I hope we don't get to that, but it's an important option and it's one that's well understood," he added.
Asked if the military has a plan to strike Iran, Mullen replied, "We do". He did not elaborate.
The West, including the US, accuses Iran of seeking atomic arms under the guise of a civilian nuclear program.
However, numerous reports by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) verify that Tehran's nuclear work is merely geared to peaceful ends.

If the invading pigs attack Iran then are they ready to face the consequence ? Why they are so desperate to attack Iran ? dont they remember the glorious days during the time of Iraq and afghanistan invasion when both Iran and USA work hand in hand to make this happe ?
How about the Shia administration of Iraq and the shia bodor brigade and shia shock police who are collaborating with the invading pig ...will they be happy to see that the invading pigs are bomberding Iran and their shia brothers are dying like rosted pigs ? No they wont be happy and all these shia collaborator will turn against the invading pigs in Iraq and the only option for the invading pigs is to covertly form a qualition with the Iraqi resistance against the shia. Iran will get all the arms supply from Israel as usual and sure it will be a fight. Seems to me Iran is double crossing the invading pigs and covet the whole booty in the middle east and Israel is secretly lining up with Iran to have a share after sucking USA dry. In any circumstance attacking Iran is suicidal for USA , but the invading pigs might not have any choice as they are sorrounded by the shias and shias know all the weak point of the invading pigs as they were embedded with them for a long time. The day USA start bombing Iran all the shia gun will be pointed towards the invading pigs both in Iraq and afghanistan and the commander in pig is not stupid to bomb Iran but Iran is acting like a rebel and sending the message to the pigs that they no longer want to be lackey .
