'Israel will be destroyed if it attacks Iran'
Fri, 06 Aug 2010 10:21:29 GMT
A group of ex-CIA officials have warned Washington against Tel Aviv's efforts to "mousetrap" the US on Iran, a mistake that would "destroy" Israel.
In a memo to the US President Barack Obama, a group of former CIA intelligence officers at the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity warned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to go unilateral on Iran.
"Blindsiding has long been an arrow in Israel's quiver," the group said on Thursday.
To prevent such a 'disaster', the former officials wrote, the White House should "move quickly to pre-empt an Israeli attack by publicly condemning such a move before it happens."
If Obama fails to do so "Israel's leaders would calculate that once the battle is joined, it will be politically untenable for you to give anything less than unstinting support to Israel," the memo continues.
Plans for a military attack against Iran have gained momentum in Tel Aviv over the past few months.
On November 7, Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon warned Iran that Tel Aviv's persistent threats of military action were not just a bluff.
Tel Aviv has also ordered a long list of US-made military equipment, including systems needed by the Israeli Air Force, certain types of missiles and advanced electronic war equipment.
The ex-CIA officials however have suggested that Tel Aviv's impatience may cost them dearly.
"Wider war could eventually result in destruction of the state of Israel," the group said.
Formed in January 2003 "to speak out on the use of intelligence to justify the war," the veterans are widely known for their opposition to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
"We now believe that we may also be right on (and right on the cusp of) another impending catastrophe of even wider scope - Iran - on which another President, you, are not getting good advice from your closed circle of advisers," the memo concludes.

US to publicly warn Israel ... which has just been done ... then Israel going in there anyway and making a huge nuclear mess.
UK, US and France will be there in the first attacks.
UK and US will be defending Israel from attacks and the excuse of protecting oil and neighbours will be used for the US to engage Iran direct.
France will be attempting to hold the Straits open and will also attack Iran in the process.
IN THE SECOND MOVE.
Many will rise up against Israel due to the Zionists use of nuclear weapons against Iran.
No one will survive in the north due to an all out war over who allowed the use of nukes.
ISRAEL as we know it right now ... WILL BE TOTALLY DESTROYED.
South of the equator will be the only place to live.

How Obama Flubbed His Missile Message
by Gerald Posner
h ttp://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-and-stories/2009-09-18/how-obama-flubbed-his-missile-message/full/
FXCERPTS
Interviewer: How aggressive can Obama be in insisting to the Israelis that a military strike might be in America’s worst interest?
Zbigniew Brzezinski: We are not exactly impotent little babies. They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?
Interviewer: What if they fly over anyway?
Zbigniew Brzezinsk: Well, we have to be serious about denying them that right. That means a denial where you aren’t just saying it. If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a Liberty in reverse. Israeli jet fighters and torpedo boats attacked the USS Liberty in international waters, off the Sinai Peninsula, during the Six-Day War in 1967. Israel later claimed the ship was the object of friendly fire.

Good luck defending from the biggest barrage of armed missiles in the world and containing ... huge explosions and world-changing events from unfolding. If Israel uses nuclear weapons, that is. Even if it doesn't in its own initial attack, it probably will as a second strike seeing its entire conventional destruction unfolds before its eyes.
Oh and I'm sure the joke French forces will be of use to Israel. They will be lucky to MAKE it to the middle east (where they have almost no presence outside of UN peacekeeper forces) let alone participate in the 15 minute conflict to follow. Don't make me laugh. UK, USA, maybe, maybe. France? Come on, Neal. The only port they have immediate military acccess to is in UAE and believe me, if they make use of it, UAE will suffer the consequencces.
The fight to the death is truly a fight to the death. You don't pick a fight with a lion (Iran) using a stick (Israel).
My position has always been the same as these officer's who have obviously done their homework. I used to think Israel would not be crazy enough to pull off this attack, but after the insanely stupid attack on the flotilla ... these people are too stupid to be predictable.
Stupidity is when you hurt yourself and hurt others at the same time — no body gains anything.

Whilst I support your right to your opinion, I have to accept you have not read the intentions of the French leader ... who has clearly stated that in the event there is a war with Iran, France would take an active role in keeping the oil supply open.
He also said that France would do all possible to ensure it's oil supply is maintained.
So see I could give a stuff to anyone who says that France is no longer capable of making good it's statements as from when I was a boy we saw France test nuclear bombs in the middle of the Pacific.
And as a young man I saw France blow up a ship in the harbour I fished in.
These are very clear memories to me even now.
I think to underestimate the actions of an enemy and the repercussions on your own life after those actions is not a wise move Syrian.
However if you wanted somewhere safe to live at any time I'm quite willing to open a door for you.
You know my email.

The Grand chessboard by him is incorprated in PNAC strategy
And although he may or may not have brought up the notion of engaging Israeli fighters and bombers to protect American intrests and for whatever reasons, inentions and/ or motivations he had doing the interview or wether the interview questions were controled or spontaneous, C' mon now, this is Zbigniew Brzezinski
That was then this is an evlving situation and what happens to the well intentioned suggestion when geopolitical situation has shifted? what happens to the plan? Do the hypothetical jets or whatever engage Israel od will they assist to try and reshift the situation
An attack on Iran is not just an attack on Iran.
Zbigniew Brzezinski also described the act as reverse Liberty(.That says alot )
Anyways, when you read interviews of family of USS Liberty victims there is insight.
The mass media then initialy reported the Nuslims sunk it.
War still possible even if

Pilot-X, ease up on the PORN to give some relief to your sticky keys...
IsraHELL is far from ready to carry out a successful attack on Iran, so I would not worry too much about the ZIOKUNTS worn out Propaganda...
Anything less than 100% success would do untold damage to IsraHELL: in fact that would virtually herald its END after losing the last war in Lebanon!...
Lack of refueling capability means that fewer than 30 planes can make it to Iran...
Imagine if 2/3 don't make it back: Iran needs do nothing more than downing most of these planes and it has won without even counterattacking and give an excuse to the United Skunks to get involved...
And, no, I don't believe that Saudi Arabia would facilitate the attack, as this would have been a closely guarded secret, if true... not a threat to be bandied around as part of the usual propaganda...

Prison poetry by Sami Al-Arien;
Strip-Search
His body was built
His head was bald
His heart was dead
His face was cold
His eyes were fierce
Moustache was thick
He lifted his finger
I was his pick
Take off your jumper
And shirt and boxers
But I’ve only been to the library
Have not seen or met anybody
Strip, you’re going to strip
And don’t you dare move your lip
Take off your jumper
And shirt and boxers
Open your mouth
Show me your tongue
Give me a cough
Deep from your lung
Hold your buttocks
And bend over
Turn around
Lift it up
And stay sober
The routine is to humiliate
To scar and intimidate
His “search” took an eternity
In the name of security
They strip you of your dignity

RE: Lack of refueling capability ???
Here's you quoting how up to date you are with military moves??
There is absolutely no shortage of refueling for Israeli bombers and fighters.
Saudi Arabia may not facilitate the attack from their bases (even against leaked reports they would) however there's no way of stopping an aircraft landing to refuel after.
US have and will provide refueling mid air with tankers they have already sold/gifted to Israel.
Refueling is not the problem.
Doing the job properly and getting away without egg splattered all over their faces is the problem.
Russia denying the S-300's is a sure sign the attack is going to happen.
Try to make your beliefs believable Sealion you have a cult following here and you don't want to let the cat out of the bag.

IC, you need to remain logical throughout in your reasoning...
On the one hand, the US is trying to stop IsraHELL from attacking Iran and on the other, is providing them with additional tanker planes, according to you...
Why did the US deny additional tanker planes to Israel - its current fleet of half a dozen operational KC-707 is between 36 and 50 years old - if not to prevent an attack on Iran?
== U.S. denies Israel's request for tanker aircraft ==
JERUSALEM — The United States has rejected an Israeli request for advanced refueling aircraft that could be used for any mission to strike Iran nuclear sites.
ht tp://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/WTARC/2008/ss_israel0453_08_21.asp
Btw, how does this tally with this bold statement of yours, clearly shot from the hip without regards for the REAL FACTS, as often is the case with your assertions:
"US have and will provide refueling mid air with tankers they have already sold/gifted to Israel."
We've been through this several times and I have shown conclusively that IsraHELL's current fleet of small and aging tanker planes could NOT support any more than 2 dozen fighters (3 per tanker plane) on an attack against Iran...
Surely, you don't want me to dig into old posts again, do you?...
Btw, these tankers will require a permanent escort, or they will be shot out of the sky the moment they arrive in range of the Iranian Migs, Sukhoi, Mirages and F-14 Tomcats, still as good or better planes than the F-18, leaving only a dozen planes to carry out the attack...
I don't know anything about having a "cult following", but as I have pinpointed earlier, the real Achilles Talon of IsraHELL, is its inability to support a meaningful number of fighters on a long distance attack...
... AND, this is why the Propaganda of an Israeli attack on Iran with airplanes is TOTAL BULLSHIT: the Iranians know it, and so should you, by now ...

...I must respectfully disagree with you that Iran should attack first. That would give Israel and the West their excuse to nuke Iran, and there will be nothing anyone would be able to say about it; on the other hand, if Israel or the West attacks Iran first, then Iran has no other choice but to destroy Israel by any means necessary as Malcolm X would say!
