Pentagon alarmed over Chinese cyber attacks

The United States has accused the Chinese military of using civilian computer experts in cyber attacks against U.S. companies and government agencies.

A report released by the Pentagon this week says China is using “information warfare units” to develop viruses to attack computer systems and networks.

Last year, numerous computer systems around the world, including those owned by the U.S. government, were the target of intrusions that appear to have originated within China, the report says
