Bomb hits PRT convoy in Thi-Qar

THI-QAR / Aswat al-Iraq: A roadside bomb went off on Tuesday targeting a convoy of the U.S. Provincial Reconstruction Team (P.R.T) in western Nassiriya city, causing no casualties.

“The blast occurred in al-Mansooriya area, western Nassiriya,” a local police source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

This is the second attempt within a week to attack the P.R.T in Thi-Qar, according to the same source.

Nassiriya, the capital city of Thi-Qar province, lies 380 km south of Baghdad.
