The elimination of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, killed June 7 in a US Air Force raid near Baghdad, is a victory for the United States, engaged since September 2001 in a "war against terrorism," and since March 2003, in a war in Iraq. It's also a victory for the Iraqi government and security services, for Zarqawi was their enemy. Finally, it's a victory for a crushing majority of the Iraqi people since, whether they are pro or anti-American, they were the al-Qaeda leader's first victims.
That victory must, nonetheless, not hide the reality: the victor up to now in this war is Zarqawi himself. Before disappearing, the Jordanian jihadist had, in less than three years, won his main wagers.
Zarqawi promised an international rout: by attacking UN headquarters in Baghdad, he succeeded in making United Nations' agencies, NGOs, and businessmen flee Iraq.
Zarqawi promised a ruthless war against the American Army. Even if his participation from a military point of view was undoubtedly less decisive than he claimed - most operations being conducted by Iraqi rebels, ex-Saddamists, Islamists or Sunni villagers - the result is there: no American patrol can hope to leave its base in Baghdad or in the Sunni triangle without being harassed, often to deadly effect.
Zarqawi finally and above all - it's what differentiated him from an Osama bin Laden at war against the West and Saudi Arabia - promised blood and tears to the Shiites, to the Kurds, and a civil war in Iraq: it is there.
Certainly Iraqis have not gone down to the streets, Kalashnikov in hand, in their masses to kill their neighbors.
But Sunni and Shiite militias make daily assassinations, population transfers have begun, and a climate of inter-community distrust - even hatred - sets Iraq ablaze.
This civil war, larval since 2004, more violent since spring 2006, is Zarqawi's principal victory. He has imposed on Iraqis, including the Sunni guerrilla, this absolute hatred of Shiites. He has planted a much more disquieting seed for the Washington and Baghdad governments than the deaths of soldiers and police.
His disappearance consequently changes nothing a priori about the Iraqi challenge. Certainly, we must wait to see who will take over from him. It is necessary above all to resolve the basic questions in Iraq: those of sovereignty and governance, American occupation, Iranian involvement, the destruction of the economy, the Islamization of society.

He has won the admiration and blessings of Muslims around the globe. Zarqawi defended his Iraqi brothers and sisters as a Lion-of-Islam.
The Sunni Muslims have been betrayed by those that call themselves Shi'a and Kurds. Those who regard their Ayatollahs or Race as more important than their Humanity and Dignity in the Sight of Allah swt and the World.
Those Muslims, like Zarqawi, that go to the assistance of their brothers and sisters in Islam, are not 'Foreigners' but the Americans and their Puppets and Stooges are the foreigners of Decency.
He was a man that lived and died for what he believed in, unlike the despicable cowards and mass murderers like George Bush, Tony Blair, Arial Sharon and all those that support them or do their dirty work.
The Kurds and Jews think they have the oil in the North, and the Shi'a and their US/UK masters think they have the oil in the South .. all they will discover is misery.
MAY THEY BURN IN HELL!

Zarqawi killed iraqis not defended them. (Shiites are iraqis too)
Also it was ultimately the US who wanted chaos and civil war in Iraq. If Zarqawi existed, he worked for the US, as all his actions only benefit the US.

Zarqawi and the Sunni Muhahidee kill Americans and Traitors to Islam.
The borders of Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and 'Saudi' Arabia were drawn by the British occupation of ME. The ME is Islamic Terrritory .. nationalism is not valid in Islam.
The US/UK, Israel and their puppets have made very BIG MISTAKE.
Do not believe Mainstream Media, it is Zionist Propaganda.

That the video of the bombed house has changed
First day it was a small house surrounded by other in the middle of a small isolated village, not it is an isolated house surrounded by trees as per the news artists representations. Even the U.S. military has different camouflages.
And despite the two huge bombs and the direct hit he was still alive. Wonder if in fact there was no fierce resistance as indicated by some Arab commentators ?

This morning letter arrived from Charing Cross police — it says:
Dear Sir
I have today received a letter dated 26th May 2006 headed "Ariel Sharon sent Jew Suicide pilots to crash into Twin Towers" sent by yourself to Bow Street Magistrates Court.
Whilst your letter raises various issues I note that you have requested a court order for the frontage to be kept cleared for your Sunday noon to 4 expose. You are currently authorised for Sundays up to and including the 28th June 2006 at your usual protest point. If you wish to continue demonstrations past that date please apply in your usual way as the legislation does not allow for court orders to be made.
Please do not hesitate to contact me at the above phone number should you have any querries.

Zarqahi was a lion of islam who killed and terrorised the invading infidels and all those that compromised with them. He will always be remembered for his bravery in the face of the real child killers. He truly has won and the americans and british will continue to plant bombs and blame the resistance for the killing of hundreds of shia etc. Those that recognise the traits of the invaders can never be fooled as to who the real perpetrators of the mass killings are. Those iraqis that believe the american dictated media are no different to the brainless masses who occupy the united states believing everything that is plpayed out to them by the bush cabal. LONG LIVE THE RESISTANCE INSHA'ALLAH!

To those who say Zarqawi is a muslim and a hero need to have their brains examined.
That criminal is nothing more than an agent who's sole job is to creat the right conditions for his masters to carry out their agenda in the ME.
How can anyone suggest that he was a lion of Islam ..
How can you justify killing people in such way.
That bastard tried ( or shall I say his masters tried ) and trying to creat a civil war between Sunni and Shia.. a war that will kill hundreds of thousands of people.
I hope he rotts in hell for ever
and the bastards who support him can go to Saudi or Kuwait or Jordan or Morocco to liberate it from the idiots who rule them and also get rid off all the american and Israeli bases in those countries.

countless Iraqis dragged from their homes, nistreated otreceiving bad news or body of loved one. In their frustration and grief regardless of where or when would always be bombarded with same common news and rumour. Even by occupation forces facilitating the propaganda for support back home. The common news rhe common rumour Zarquawi did this zarquawi did that, zarquawi zarquawi. They heard of a man who FIGHTS. Zarquawi, even though occupation wants to bring chapter to a close, its probably just begun.

Zarqawi and the Sunni Muhahidee kill Americans and Traitors to Islam.
Zarqawi is/was a nobody in terms of resistance. He killed bunch of american civillians who were possibly interfering with US army operation (which the IR denounced) and mostly bombed Iraqi marketplaces, UN consulates, Embassies of Turkey and Jordan etc. Lately he was almost exclusively killing Iraqi shiites. So if he was a lion. He was a LION OF ZION.
The borders of Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and 'Saudi' Arabia were drawn by the British occupation of ME. The ME is Islamic Terrritory .. nationalism is not valid in Islam.
Yes. But brits didn't do it themselves, they did it by manipulating the arabs against turks, one leading arab family over another etc. Many arabs died fighting against the army of the Caliphate so that the Brits could achieve their goal.
The same thing is happening today. So half a century later, people of Shiite Iraq, and Sunni Iraq, and Kurdistan will similarly be complaining about how Americans draw the artificial borders after they occupied Iraq.
But it is people who think like you who help them do it.

According the medias:
- Zarqawi died during the 2003 invasion unable to move with his wooden right leg
- Got ressurected with incredible alility to fight similaneously in different places (al-Falluya, Najaf, Ramadi).
- Miraclously, his leg regenerated and beheading Nick Berg. Oddly, he wore a golden right even though Islam forbid it and speak with a Russian accent.
- He got killed so many time but got ressurected and move through wall and he is able to stop the time.
- Surprisingly, the super terrorist lost his power as he is unable to use a M16. Strangely, he is fatter than usual despite his ability to operate in different place.
- Finally got killed. Now, one has to wonde if the ghost will raise again.
The propagandists think they can fool people with these insanities. It appears they are fooling themselves instead.

It's you who live in an imaginary world. Support any of your assertions. Even the turks knew not to kill PKK leader Ocalon because of what he would become. They even had the sence to at least try and suggest that when he was taken into custody he was crying and pleasing for his life. They portrayed him as a coward. And if you want an example of someone who was a virtual nobody and low rank on the lslamic totem pole. You best look at Muqtada Al Sadr. And see how those who fight are treated. You best do your research and see how the Arab street is responding.........Imagine, yeah that's right imagine. It is a mental process that seeks to comprehend a situation that is similar yet an opposite position from my own. It starts with a question? Why is the actual IR position different from my own. why are their conclusions different ?Why? Because Zarquawi fights. Real or imagined, the Zarquawi spectere fights and the GLOBAL MASS MEDIA WILL SPREAD IT. No need for recruitment or indocternation. It will play into the hands of Resistance. Now how Imaginary is that conclusion, Illia?

See the article at htt p://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060610/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_al_zarqawi with its most intriguing slide show - of 288 images and their captions.
(as at 20060611 - the story and number of pictures has changed since.)
Having now waded through them all, things appear 'Curiouser and curiouser!'
From the image content and captions, some interesting points arise.
Here's the timeline:
Date? - Someone takes closeup pictures of front of the building in the palm plantation. These pics later released by US mil, on June 8th.
June 6th. Senators are told that their Iraq war briefing scheduled for June 7th is cancelled, with no explanation or alternative date. For eg see htt p://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Senators_write_Bush_after_classified_Iraq_0607.html
June 7th (supposedly) - two F-16 warplanes drop a 500-pound bomb on the palm plantation building, and another on a building on the other side of a canal. A local reports a man (said to be Z.) was found near the canal still alive, and put in ambulance. But US troops arrived, removed him from ambulance, and beat him to death. Rough quote "they stomped on his stomach till blood came out his nose, and he was dead." Some of the photos later shown by the mil are before he was cleaned up - and he has a bloodstreak from nostril. He has only mild facial bruising - certainly not a close encounter with 500lb bomb. No mention if anyone asked the witness what day this happened. The warplane bomb videos shown have no date mark, but do have two greyed-out areas. Surely there'd be a date and time recorded? Why obscure that, unless for a lie?
June 8th, early morning. US troops dynamite several buildings in an urban setting less than a mile away, in township of Hibhib, near Baqouba. No one reported hurt. Which in Iraq, with US troops, means no one was home. They were family homes, to judge by the items left in the rubble - kids toys, blankets, etc. Pictures of these destroyed houses are shown on TV, as where Z died. But this is now explicitly stated to be incorrect in the picture captions, as an editorial correction. In many pictures presumably taken by media either that day or the next, local kids are picking through the debree, salvaging items. Ie _no_ US mil interest in contents of blown up buildings. As opposed to the Z. house, which for a while at least was heavily guarded. No.... wait a minute. It wasn't _heavily_ guarded - aerial shots show only a humvee, and a handful of troops. Ditto the ground pics. Hmm.... whouldn't the house of the leader of Al Qaida in Iraq rate more than that? You'd think his forces might be eager to prevent US troops getting hold of his records. Unless... no such forces, or no such risk to them from US troops.
June 8th, during day. Press conference in Green Zone. Announcement Z. is dead, and lots of pictures released. Including 'the many faces of Z' - which sure don't look like the dead guy. They do have some very nice hi-res blowups of the chubby 'dead guy' in various poses with impressive weapons, including one indoors that appears to be an 'outtake' (he's looking way off camera, like he's waiting for posing instructions.) Lucky the US mil had the negatives, or original binaries!

In Washington, Bush announces Z. has been killed. There are many pictures of Bush, other US admin persons, US mil persons in Wshington & Iraq. In every single picture of any general or senior politician, they all look like they just sucked a lemon. Deadly serious, concerned. While lesser ranks, Iraqi troops on the street, and such, shown in jubilation. You'd expect Bush & Co to be at least smirking a little. But no. They are one bunch of 'just received really bad news' dudes.
Well, well.
I joked earlier that maybe the US was tricked into blowing up their own man, Mr Double-O-Z.
They blew up their sole remaining semi-believable excuse for remaining in Iraq.
After looking at those pictures I now don't think its such an unlikely joke.
My guess is the _2nd_ set of buildings blown up, was where the (ROFL) informants lived. But of course they were gone by then. USA: "Make fools of us, will you! Right, bang go your houses! Still laughing?"
Yeah, they probably are still laughing. Worth it, I'd reckon.
I wonder what story they told the local authorities, to get that house bombed? Then the US goes "Wait! Isn't that where Z was staying! Doh!" and discovers their man Z is seriously injured, but alive, and about to be driven to hospital. Where the whole charade would rapidly fall apart. So they kill him. No talking allowed, especially by an employee now seriously gruntled by having been blown up by their employer.
I'd also guess the actual bombing took place on the 6th, not the 7th. A whole lot of people must have gone into shock when the bad news broke. Hence the cancelled senate briefing.
Nice one, IR!
I suspect there is a great deal of laughing going on in certain circles in Iraq at the moment.
There is also apparently a certain amount of cynical disbelief in some media outlets, if the material on yahoo is anything to go by. 288 pictures, complete with their "EDITORIAL USE ONLY!" notes. Many of them duplicates, but that tells us something too. What does publishing an _entire_ set of media/editorial-use-only images and text say, about the editorial position on the topic?
Something like "I'm not touching this sh*t with a pole!", is my guess.
TerraHertz
Redistribution in whole, as always, encouraged.
Interesting article at htt p://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060610/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_al_zarqawi
In which an eye witness claims US troops beat a still-alive man (said to be Zarqawi) until he died.
As Whatreallyhappened.com comments: "Now then, ask yourself this. If the man they caught was the real Zarqawi, and they caught him alive, WHY WOULD THE US FORCES KILL HIM? Or is it more likely that the man passed off as Zarqawi for the last several months was a phony, and had to be killed rather than risk exposure during interrogation? "
Also, check out the 'slideshow' link. Switch it to 'manual' immediately, so you have time to look at/save the pics. What's most interesting? That there are 288 pictures in the show. A few repeats, but I've never known a major news outlet like yahoo to just dump all the original images into a slideshow. I haven't looked at them all yet, but will. Grab em before they're gone.
The aerial shot of the location is the same as the one very briefly and blurily flashed on TV here. The 'house' does not appear to be the one shown on TV here.

On CNN, they showed the footage of what has remained of Zarkawi's safe house.
There wasn't a brick left standing.....
Then the BBC showed footage on the actual bombing of the house seen from air-plane which bombed it ..... it seems that two
500 Pound Bombs have fully hit that house.....
Note there was no mention of a hardened bunker under the house where the alleged body was found.
Now isn't it funny that not one other bomb dropped in Iraq has this much coverage .. like someone really had something to prove here and the who ever that someone is KNEW the target audience would be watching CNN and BBC.
If there had been a hardened bunker there may be an excuse for a recognisable body ... and the bunker most certainly would have been mentioned.
Then I saw the Press conference in Baghdad showing us a dead- Zarkawi
Let me recap all those three news items......
First: 2 X 500 =1000 pounds bomb with a full-hit
Second : a full hit and a house reduced to complete destruction and rubble
Third : a body with a recognisable dead man with a recognisable beard... and hardly a scratch on it.
This is as good as finding the passports of alleged terrorists in the rubble of the WTC when everything else was burnt up in the fire passports belonging to their target "alleged terrorists" were in good useable condition .. not a mark on them.
If you remember 4 of the 19 alleged hijackers are still flying Saudi Air as commercial pilots today.
My humble forensic experience allows me to add up :
1000 pounds of Bombs plus a total destruction plus a recognisable dead person
My humble forensic conclusion :
Unless Zarkawi were standing 300 meters ( 1000 feet) away from the housewhile it was hit....his body could not be recognisable, at all.......

...was invented by the American military. We don't know who they killed, but they already make their own "success" news. Studies of recent Bin Laden videos have shown that Bin Laden was acted by different persons. This is not just another conspiracy.
Think by yourself: 1000 pound of explosives and they still find bodies? The U.S. military is already changing the story.

My guess is they are trying to prove that they can make up a completely inconsistent story, present it in the usual format in CNN/NBC etc. and all the americans will believe in it.

Sure, the Zarqawi image caused enough fear in the US people to have them support the war. That worked well for the Bush cabal.
But apparently some Muslims also believe he was real. And now those Muslims who believed that he was a real person will find a new martyr to give them inspiration for fighting against the US.
Personally, I think that maybe there really was a Zarqawi person and maybe he really was killed. Maybe not.
But it doesn't matter.
The image no longer motivates US people; but it does still motivate millions of Muslims.
Zaraqi's "death" may be more damaging to the USA than helpful: US people may get a temporary sense of hope for winning; but some Muslims will see him as a martyr for decades, and an encouragement for more fighting to free Iraq.

The news about Zarqawi’s (4th or 5th) death is not a startling revolution. How many times can a man die? It doens't take a genius to realize if two 500 lb bombs were dropped on any house there would be no remains left to identify. As already stated, Zarqawi’s death can be compared to finding the legible ID’s of the 911 terrorists on the sidewalk after the WTC devastation. Calling cards left behind so they could conveniently be identified. It was all reported on TV, the mind controling confusion/division of America.
Noticeably in the US, there are no leaders who would uphold any oath to preserve, protect and defend a Constitution or place the good of the many over that of the few. From birth to death Americans citizens are trained in fear and dehumanization through Hollywood movies. Twisted US news media sell lies for truth. Shame on American citizens for their lazy-minded efforts, BUT THEY SUFFER FROM MIND CONTROL.
Notice how TV programs relish bloodshed? Americans are fed hatred, perversion, sex, terrorism and dehumanization, even in children’s cartoons. For some (like Illia) the war is depressing and denial is the antidote. Many of the troops who were assured that the Iraqis would welcome them with open arms are now dead, and there's still no plan for leaving Iraq.
Many Americans enjoy the comforts of their homes with their minds kicking the crap out of the next foreign country TV tells is the enemy ... out of the range of danger, of course. My goodness what a brave nation. US might be called, home of the brave and out of range. Freedom, like treason, are words used on the innocent victims of a manufactured war.
Money and power are the reasons stupid Americans support this warmongering regime and all it’s religious bigotry. Putting aside all the death and carnage from US interference in Iraq, it has basically cost the US citizens their future. Iraq invasion alone has cost the US taxpayers $315 billion September 30, the end of fiscal year, 2006. The future of American children has been sold for the price of false freedom. Like suicide, the cost is a permanent solution for a temporary problem. How proud can anyone in the US really be? How much more silence must be endured from the rest of the world? For sure, the end will not be telecasted.

"This doesn't mean that we cooperated with the US in getting him. We had no exchange of intelligence with the US at all (on this)," Asefi said.

It is quite funny looking how you people are complaining about many previous reports in "media" about Zarqawi's deaths. Because if you had been getting the news from where all normal people had — CNN, NBC or even al-Jazeera (as far as the English page goes) you would not see these previous reports.

That's right, ilia. Why can't we all just be like you and happily feed at the main trough. And maybe pre-emptively destroy or ban all the news sources that dare differ from the US mainstream to shut them the fuck up and let us have our peace of mind. Who needs the truth anyway, that over-rated, uncomfortable pain in the ass?

There are reports of Zarqawi's death, or suspected death, before this bombing ... even from Al-jazeera reports, who has been pretty much taken over by US propaganda reporters. No matter how you see this, visible or invisible, Zarqawi was a US stooge.

During the lead-up to the invasion of Iraq, Zarqawi's presence in the north of the country was used by US officials to link Saddam Hussein to terrorism.
Zarqawi has twice been sentenced to death by Jordan's state security court.
He was first sentenced in absentia in November 2004 for planning the murder of a US diplomat in Jordan. The second sentence, last December, concerned plans to attack a border post between Iraq and Jordan.
Why did US take video pictures of Z, standing alone in the desert with AK-47, shooting randomly at nothing? What a staged up enemy US created.

Did you really expect Iran to be sad about his death?
Iran and the Wahabi type Muslims have been enemies. You couldn't figure out on your own that Iran would be happy about it?
That which you find to be news worthy is obvious to educated people who keep up with events.
Your inability to reason logically and figure out obvious things such as the USA's intentional deception to rush to war makes you a pathetic annoyance.
Your inability to think critically about the main stream news or question the US government's claims show how gullible and naive you are.
If you can't keep up with the conversation, don't bother the adults who can.

Not only do they not use the variety of news sources that are available to discerning, thoughtful, inquisitive, intelligent people, the US people also really don't pay attention to their own main stream media.
I asked one US person recently, "what is the difference between the Taleban and al-Qaeda," and he answered that bin-Laden was the head of the Taleban.
Not only do the stupid US people not use various sources of collecting news, they don't even pay attention to the corporate mainstream media that parrots the US government.

At least 3000 US military and mercenary and government spooks aredead in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Thousands more are crippled to the point of social uselessness.
Killing Zarqawi or creating the illusion of killing him makes no difference.
The resistance will continue.

Did you really expect Iran to be sad about his death?
I was not. I was posing for those crazy people out there, who belive that Zarqawi did not exits and if he did, then he was a CIA agent. But I guess you are too stupid to realte my post to its context.

You do not have to pose for any crazies on this site to make your point. People have a right to their beliefs just as you do, and factually, you are no more certain of Zarqawi's death, or that he might or might not be CIA, or whether or not he even exists, than anyone else. Obviously the US has used him to benefit the propaganda program, and it doens't take a handful of brains to figure that out. No one on this site views the Iranian-Shiite as stupid, so you put yourself in very bad light by making statements like that.

You're too dull to realize that you didn't create a context in the post. You just quoted the article from news24.
As for the context of the whole thread, there have been people like MADMAX and axeman who believe he was real; and your post could also have been referring to my statement that some Muslims find him to be a heroic martyr, and other subjects as well; and that makes your intent ambiguous. Your failure to realize your ambiguity shows a lack of forsight and acumen.
And you're too dim to realize that many of the people here believe that Iran is also unreliable; and so just because Iran says something, doesn't mean that people here will take it seriously.
